It carries the code of the 356th Fighter Squadron which was "AJ".

This P-47D-28 was flown by Capt George Lamb of the 356th Fighter Squadron, 354th Fighter Group, 9th Air Force from November 1944 until early February 1945.

Lamb would end the war with 7.5 kills.
